Because it could be SO MUCH BETTER than it currently is, we’ve dropped the ball so many times in so many places it’s just so frustrating and embarrassing and it just all feels so pointless now. I’m sure that’s the idea, but I’m getting old, and this group of kids doesn’t seem like they’re up for any sort of challenge at all sad to say.
It WAS better than it is. That is our perspective. We see things deteriorating. We have every right to bitch about it for all the good it will do. The USA isn’t the worst country in the world, but it is constantly dropping down the list.
