And there’s resistance bands, which if combined with a door anchor can replace weights for a fraction of the space and cost. A doorframe pull up bar would be the last piece of kit a home gym would really need when combined with the bands and calisthenics.
I don’t know how you can think this isn’t sexist garbage, but just the phrase “women’s privilege” is a red flag on it’s own. The implication that only women do yoga is insanely dumb and wrong.
This whole comment and every reply below it was insanely hostile and unnecessary.
They’re trying to imply or insinuate that men can’t do yoga, and saying that suggesting people do yoga is “women’s privilege” or some bullshit like that. I’m certain DragonTypeWyvern is a troll with nothing better to do than start trouble.
It’s not even a widespread societal expectation. It’s something this sexist troll pulled out of his ass because he was mad someone suggested doing yoga as exercise at home. Which he thinks is “women’s privilege” whatever the fuck that means.
Bruh it’s $12 a month for planet fitness and it’s all aunties and uncs up in there.
1.5 miles in 15 minutes on the treadmill then the yellow room 30 minute circuit trainer with the lights… 15 minutes stretching in the isometrics room and we on our way.
Everyday, or at least five days in a week. Treat things like yoga biking and sports as “in addition to”
It was $15 per week at my local gym. Tbf a new gym has opened nearby since my last membership so it may be cheaper. But at $360 per year over a few years you can just start buying your own stuff.
All you need to be healthy is a bit of moderate exercise. It doesn’t matter what it is, so it’s best to pick activities you enjoy. Dancing, paintball, bouldering, hiking, whatever.
No, gyms are capitalism honeypots for fitbros
I work out at home with body weight and everyday heavy objects.
Also yoga.
a decently kitted home gym is surprisingly attainable if you can spare the space!

I use resistance bands as well. I’m not sure they’d be a replacement for my rack and all that but it’s a great place to start
This is the way
Sheesh talk about women’s privilege
“Just do some yoga or something lmao”

You’re too manly to do yoga but not manly enough to cross social boundaries of your sex?
You’re too dumb to pay attention to what I actually said?

Sorry did you not hear?
thank you for being rude and not helpful
i was obviously asking, what the fuck do you mean, what does yoga have to do with women or privilege or womens privilege

Nobody is stopping men from doing yoga or calisthenics. Fuck societal expectations.

Plenty of bodybuilders do yoga, and all body builders that want to wipe their ass without assistance do some calisthenics, that’s not the joke.

Not if your goal is the militant resistance of fascism. Which is what we’re discussing
