Dunno about the rest of you, but i’ve been enjoying Marathon since the server slam, despite being one of Bungie’s biggest haters (blame Destiny 2 entirely for that)

If you’re on the fence, I suggest giving it a try, get over the gear fear, and try out the free play week at the start of the season.

    • Uses BattleEye and refuses to run on Linux.
    • Controller players have built-in aimbot.
    • Gunplay revolving around getting the drop on other players with minimal counterplay and fast TTK.
    • Gameplay design steered by Reddit or whoever complains the loudest.
    • Basic changes and QoL celebrated with purple prose blog posts.
    • In-game currency purchases misaligned with what you can buy with that currency.

    Yep, it’s Bungie time.
