There’s a lot of famous artists today, but I’d love to discover new pop music that is oriented around a band instead of an individual. Bands like the Beatles, Rolling Stones, and Pink Floyd have all topped the pop charts. Glenn Miller’s Orchestra topped the pop charts in 1940 with a fully instrumental song In the Mood.
I can think of Sammy Rae and Friends, but no others.
What are your favorite modern pop bands? Especially ones with a focus on instrumentals.
Edit: thanks for the recs!
i love king gizzard but i haven’t listened to any of those albums, ill have to check them out
I got recommended them to start with, and they’re really the most accessible imo
i started with polygondwanaland, it’s still my favorite. but my fav music is prog rock, metal, and jazz so
They have cool metal albums as well: Infect the Rat’s Nest and Petrodragonic Apocalypse. Also Omonium Gaetherium is hard to describe but it has metal elements
yeah those are my favs after polygondwanaland and nonagon infinity, esp petrodragonic apocalypse
ah sorry, i misread it and thought you’re not familiar with their music
