Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What single item improved the quality of your life over you got it? (Buyed it/got as present/made it)
131·3 years agoBefore, I picked up my phone at every ping or vibrate.
When I wear the watch, all phone notifications are automatically muted and the watch is set to only notify a few apps (Whatsapp, phone calls, calendar). No emails, no kik, no games nothing.

Memes@lemmy.ml•May as well buy burgers in the US, since you already paid for most of it through taxes!
1·3 years agoHere it’s not just that.
The raw resources and production costs of oat milk is like, €0.30 per 2 liter.
They sell it at €2.40.
Healthy is capitalism here.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•How many ingredients does it take to call it a salad?
6·3 years agoMerriam Webster says :
*any of various usually cold dishes: such as
a: raw greens (such as lettuce) often combined with other vegetables and toppings and served especially with dressing
b: small pieces of food (such as pasta, meat, fruit, or vegetables) usually mixed with a dressing (such as mayonnaise) or set in gelatin*
As such, even just cucumber would suffice.
Edit: in dutch, a “salade” has to accompanied by a dressing or vinaigrette, thus very much limiting what a salad is.
I know it SHOULD be done that way, but i want the URL to be clean.
right now its a javascript countdown till christmas.
Id like to pass the target year through a variable though.
Thanks for the pointer.
The whole docker thing is rather new to me, thanks for the hints.

3·3 years ago21 in summer, though it hardly ever kicks in with the awesome isolation we have.
23 in winter, cause I like it toasty.
As a non American professional, allow me to remind you that that’s not the case everywhere. There are company’s and country’s where employees are safe and valued.
