Jeb wouldn’t have been any different, he’d just be more professional about it. So we’d be professionally fucked than chaotically fucked.

I’m reminded of Michael Jackson. Guy was stupid rich and successful, still diddled with children.

I’m sorry but this isn’t my life, lol.

What isn’t a good look is you dictating how a conversation should go. Maybe go back to your basement, nobody asked you to talk.
Legalizing it wouldn’t fix the bad shit prostitution has working in the background. It’s like the porn industry, too many bad apples and giving them legalization is like giving them sanction.
Lol, everyone just wants to coom in someone and pay someone else to allow them doing it, that’s the real thing here.

By years, you mean, 2 years.
You can’t just expect games to be on sale for deep discounts within 1 - 2 years or even 3 years of it being released. It sucks, I know, but that’s how it is. You’re forced to either wait 5 - 10 years or just make the jump to buy it as it is after some savings and when you’re able to.

Same. I have spent years building my game libraries just for stupid shit like this.
Dude, read the rules before posting this shit. This is not an open ended question.

And then there are games that have big worlds that is simply too exhausting to even cover. Minecraft is that. Me and a friend have boxed ourselves an already large section. I even built very long minecart trails and riding them enough puts me to sleep. It’s just too big of a world.

I didn’t know Fall Guys got bought out. But then again, that was a flavor-of-the-week kind of game where streamers tried to care, then moved on and Fall Guys became irrelevant.

I’ve played a lot of ARPGs and every one of them has their different flavors. But, I’m a type that wants a specific flavor and trying other flavors just makes me feel like it’s not good enough. It’s kind of like it’s a discount version of that flavor I like. I’m playing a game that’s inspired by the game that defined the genre. Just to expand a little, I am not trying to say that the games mentioned are terrible. I’ve touched upon Grim Dawn and Titan a few times.
But a lot of the time, my mood and feeling always darts for Diablo.

It’s hard to really call Valve a monopoly when, there is competition. If there’s no competition, then Valve would clearly be a monopoly.
It’s not like back in the 90s when Microsoft bundled their Windows OS with Internet Explorer that edged out Netscape back then. Because there really wasn’t a lot of browser alternatives available to have made it where competition was there. Microsoft was considered a monopoly back then because competition was very little during their peak then.
In the digital PC gaming landscape, it’s entirely different. There are numerous marketplaces for digital games. And they’re big enough to where Valve is just simply an alternative and can go without if someone chooses.
Valve doesn’t force anyone to use Steam or strong-arms people to buy games from them. They just exist, the people have spoken both by their own loyalty and their wallets. And that made companies like Epic mad and jealous. They just came late into the game when Valve was developing itself.

No. Because, I don’t want to hear the complaints if someone’s favorite program doesn’t run on a distro and they have to find an alternative. I also don’t want to be someone’s tech support if anything goes wrong.

No, not per day, that’s costly for me. Not per week either. I just know what I cut out that simplifies my shopping.
I don’t go and buy snacks, for example. Do I really need fruit juice? No I don’t, because that shit is unhealthy for you. Do I really need crackers? No. Do I really need to buy tons of frozen processed foods? No, but it is moderate.
Plus the real thing is, is that I do make meals from pasta dishes. I make that last.

You can stretch your meals and if you decide to, pile on the rations. It’s not that hard.

Yeah it is. But Epic is sounding like they never take a pay cut. Only, they still do. The way it works is, is that for the first 6 months, Epic allows a developer 100% of their revenue. Afterwards, they take 12%. But they also offer 0% revenue share on the first million earned on a game by a developer.
The issue really is that Epic makes it sound like they never take a pay cut, when they do, it just works differently.

He’s also Tencent’s bitch too.

Epic is irrelevant because Epic has not given anyone a single solitary reason to use their launcher and platform. Tim Sweeny loves the smell of his own shit in the morning after he takes a big wet dump in the toilet. So much so, he doesn’t even flush for a while.
That launcher of theirs has a knack of sucking out all of your system resources, namely bandwidth and CPU, just to download games. Meanwhile, Valve gives you so many options to work around that.
Everything is disposable. I don’t think you or the author who wrote that article has a clue. It’s a matter of getting things that’ll last longer than others do and making financially wise choices and purchasing decisions based on the needs of the moment.
Like, I’m not spending $5 on a toothbrush when you need to replace it every 30 days, I buy the cheapest toothbrush I can afford to replace it with since they’re all equally made. I will spend some more money on a computer component if I feel it will have a positive increment on my entire system. Replacing my entire system would just set me back big and it would make me waste the components that are already inside that are still good. Plus, if I decide to sell the old system, I’m not going to get a good value back.
The only thing I’ve yet to replace is the case. Why? Because it’s still serviceable to me.
I just don’t get this stupid logic where you have to replace the entire system. For what? just to be with the in-crowd of current technology trends? No thanks, I’ll build my PC based on what I want out of it.
