Snoozing is counterproductive. When you hit snooze, you are not getting meaningful rest. You are interrupting your natural sleep cycles and increasing sleep inertia, which is the groggy, disoriented feeling you have after waking up.
You are also training your brain to ignore your alarm, which makes it harder to wake up consistently over time.
Set your alarm for the exact time you need to get up and get out of bed when it goes off. Your body and mind will adjust, and you will feel more alert and rested.
Stop making it harder on yourself. Stop snoozing.
Make me, you can’t, I’m too snoozy
Pff nothing can increase sleep inertia in me because it’s already at a maximum
buttt another 5 minutes feel soooo cozy

When I was younger I forced this by putting the clock out of reach, I had to physically get out of bed to turn it off. I don’t need to do it any more but it was a very good habit to get into.
That’s just hot glue. My desire to snooze is stronger, use superglue next time.
Remember 90’s touch-lamps? My first alarm clock had that touch tech on metallic snooze buttons. Teen tinkering younger me prys off the snooze to know its magic. It never snoozed again. The other snooze-off button was still intact. So every morning during highschool I had one shot to hear the alarm 𝕒𝕟𝕕 𝕤𝕥𝕒𝕪 𝕒𝕨𝕒𝕜𝕖 . I freeballed it for 4 years – until I got a paperboy route to buy myself a new clock.
If you have android, check out AMDroid. You have a bunch of options for required actions to stop the alarm, including scanning a QR code or NFC chip, solving math, typing in random characters, etc. or any combination there of. There’s also options that will increase the difficulty of the math and character challenges each time you stop the alarm.
It also has the option of a post alarm awake confirmation, which is similar to a snooze button, but you don’t get the chance to confirm you’re awake until a specified amount of time has passed from when you stopped the alarm.
Sleep as android has fantastic alarm captchas too
And then you get people who can sleep through a air raid siren
Snooze should get progressively louder each time you hit it, and shorter cooldown.
Coming on time?
I wish I could sleep through my alarm, or indeed at all.
Sometimes I wake up, then go back to sleep because the alarm hasn’t gone off yet, then the next time I wake up I realise I slept through it.
Sometimes I wake up, then go back to sleep because the alarm hasn’t gone off yet,
then the next time I wake up I realise I slept through it.then the next time I wake up even more crankier then the first time.Same, same, but different.
To wake, perchance to arrive at work on time.
Well, I’m pretty sure that shit doesn’t just work anymore.
