I spent way too long thinking “my body is a machine…” was the title of a game lol. Incredible meme.
Nothing, absolutely nothing. My backlog is huge with games that have hours to play.
This appears to be written in English, but I can’t make sense of it.
We must feed the backlog, always.
Number go up.
makes completion rates go down though, and adds an awful lot of zeroes (hours played)
net negative on the numbers, chief
We’re entertainment dragons.
We sleep upon the amassed collection of potential future fun in every unplayed game.
Once you try the game, you may realize that you don’t even like it.
Rookie move.
According to isthereanydeal, these sales aren’t nearly as good as they were last seasonal sale in June
Whelp, either GameBillet, GreenManGaming, GOG or pirqcy
Gamebillet has been killing it lately
I bought two:
-
ACE COMBAT™7: SKIES UNKNOWN - $4.79 (Flying makes me hard)
-
Detroit: Become Human - $3.99 (always looking for something to experience with my barely-gamer s/o)
Flying makes me hard
I am morally obligated to recommend Project Wingman (although it’s more expensive at a whole $12.49 right now)
I played it on Xbox, but I assume the PC version is just as good. Plus you can mod it so that
waifuWSO Prez shares the cockpit in every planeDamn you!!! making me pull out my wallet again! (thanks)
How is Detroit? I’m a barely gamer SO trying to find a co-op game that I enjoy
Just bought it yesterday, will update when we get into it!
Detroit is a great game if you like cinematic, story-driven experience. It’s like a Choose-Your-Own Adventure book, in video-game form. Kind of like an interactive movie.
Oh wow, that’s a great deal for DBH. I bought it for a bit more a few sales ago. Still haven’t played it yet, of course…
-
- Doom 2016 $4 -80%
- Neon White 2022 $10 -60%
- Inscryption 2021 $8 -60%
Never played Doom 2016 but I’ve heard it’s very good.
Doom 2016 was my game for last year and into early this year. For what it’s worth, I enjoyed it quite a bit once I got into it. I tried to start it a few times and that didn’t work out, but then suddenly last winter, it all just clicked.
I had also tried Doom Eternal, and that’s not my thing. Doom 2016 lets you play at your own pace, your own style, and make your own choices on how to play … mostly. Doom Eternal you basically have to play it the way THEY want you to play and use the weapons THEY want you to use and if you don’t then you’re in for an unfun struggle. Doom 2016 isn’t really like that, in my opinion and experience.
One of the yt gamers I watch made a comment about how by the end of Doom the final boss isn’t the mastermind, it’s you. The demons are trying to survive the doomslayer as you rip and tear
Inscryption is fantastic. Enjoy it!
It’s also available on gog (assuming you’re not one of those “I 💖 billionaires” folks)
My plan to work on my backlog this fall has utterly failed. Instead I’ve not been playing any games at all for the past month and a half, instead just working on a mod for STALKER Anomaly. Consequently I know in my heart of hearts that the right thing to do is not spend any money this sale. However, I am still looking at:
Tails of Iron (-92%)
The Banner Saga (-85%)
Bloodstained: Ritual of Night (-75%)
Virgo Versus The Zodiac (-75%)
Road 96 (-75%)
HYPER DEMON (-75%)
INMOST (-70%)
Trepang2 (-66% - if it was any lower I would just snap it)
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night was fun. It did evoke feelings of nostalgia for me, since Castlevania: Symphony of the Night was one of my favorite games back in the late 90s (tied with Resident Evil) and still one of my favorites of all time. I’m personally not a huge fan of the art style and it does lack a bit of polish here and there, but overall good especially at 75% off. Hope you enjoy it.
I had been saving up for Deltarune, avoiding spoilers for years (didn’t have time to even play the demo)
Too poor to be in this community
Hey, there are always the free games given away by Epic and others…
I feel that. I’ve missed the last couple sales and will probably sit this one out too.
Palworld. Even though it never goes below 20€
I was looking at Fallout 76 since its 90% off but what’s the concensus on it? Plan is to play with the wife.
I was really positively surprised by it! Picked it up two years ago and thought I’d spend a couple of hours in it. I’ve spent almost 200 hours in Appalachia by now - one of my favourite comfort games!
I like it a lot. It’s not my favorite of the games, but I think it’s a great game whether played in a public lobby or not. I do usually prefer a private lobby, but not always.
Welcome to Kowloon and The Swapper are both ones I’ve had on my list and both are about $2. Why not?
Besides that, I’m going to try and play some more Baldur’s Gate 3 or Cyberpunk 2077 during the holidays, as I’m still in the early stages of both.
The Pathfinder games are on sale.
I might grab wasteland 2 and 3
I got Fallout 4’s DLC - primarily so I can play Fallout London. I also picked up X4: Foundations, and Fallout 76 as well. All were pretty heavily discounted.
Is Fallout London easy to mod on Steam? I read that it requires some extra step, compared to GOG? And since I have the Deck only, do you know if it is easy to install it on the Deck?
Also curious about this. I didn’t want to do a whole new play through with a gog one but don’t really want the hassle of setting up the London mod with my steam version. Been holding off until I get more time to mess with it but the longer I go the more likely I just suck it up and start over on gog.
I have Fallout 4 but not the mods, plus 200Gb of free space is kind of rich, so I would better know how well it runs and if it is really worth it.
I’m not sure tbh, when I do mod it, I’ll post here.
Hi-Fi Rush has been at $17.99 for about a week now, didn’t know that the winter sale was live so I thought DekuDeals was lying to me and jumped on that purchase.
I picked up Ikaruga. I can feel the input delay, but it’s still fun.
I haven’t bought anything yet, but I’ve been compiling a short list of mostly DRPG games like the old Might and Magics that I’ve been playing, specifically ones that’ll work on the Deck nicely. It’s a genre I loved when I was younger that’s been rather missing from my modern collection.
- Wizardry: Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord
and/or
- Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls
- Legends of Amberland II
- Operencia: The Stolen Sun
- Songs of Conquest (not a DRPG, but a great-looking spiritual successor to Heroes of Might and Magic 3.)
And then on GoG, I might pick up a few real old ones, like Lands of Lore and/or Wizards & Warriors, but I don’t think those will be good for steam deck even through Heroic.
Songs of conquest is fantastic, definitely recommend.
I keep coming back to play it and they have been releasing solid new content, such as new factions
Pick up Lands of Lore. Let me be your enabler.
Ooh, Wildermyth looks pretty tempting too…
