Famous quakers include Lyndon Larouche, Richard Nixon and James Dean.

I think James Dean is mostly fine, right?

John Brown was sort of a Quaker, technically a Calvinist but somewhere in between

I’m sure there’s a bunch of cool quakers even if John Brown technically wasn’t one. Quakers were IIRC religiously opposed to slavery and that’s a fairly cool legacy. But the only quakers I know of the top of my head are James Dean, Lyndon Larouche and Richard Nixon

Edit: WAIT, the public universal friend was a quaker.

Yeah they are a mixed bag for sure. Lots of patriarchal bullshit. One of the only ones I regularly interacted with was a lady that shopped at the store I used to work at who had like 6 kids all barely a year apart in age. Or she may have been pentecostal. So many weird offshoots of christianity and all of them suck by and large even if some of their adherents are cool.
