New ~3minute trailer including some traversal, combat and cutscenes taking place in a warehouse.
It’s hard to get excited for this game given how much hell it seems to have been through. I’ll keep following the development, but cautiously to say the least.
Seems about right. I’m actually just ignoring it unless a release date is announced and its like a month away.
I have been more excited about this game coming out than any other one in recent memory. The first game, while not being a great technological achievement, captured the vibe of the ttrpg really well and it’s one of only a handful of games that I not only completed but did so multiple times. The haunted hotel to this day remains the scariest game component I’ve played, and I’m a regular player of horror games.
I was so disappointed when they bogged down and went into development hell. I finally wrote them off because I’ve seen that happen enough times that I figured they just would never ship.
I was excited by the news that another company was taking it over, but the game narrative changed so dramatically that it’s really turned me off. I’ll do a wait and see on it once the reviews start coming out, I suppose, but it’s not something I’m excited about anymore.
YES! The haunted hotel is hands down one of my all-time favorite moments in gaming. Even with the game’s primitive (by modern standards) graphics, I don’t think I’ve ever played through a scarier experience. I think the only thing that comes close was my first few hours playing The Forest.
Wasn’t expecting much but pretty disappointed none-the-less
Like sure it might be an okay or even good game, but even on first impression it feels different. And when the first game was entirely about the tone and how it felt to be in the world that says a lot about where 2 is ending up
welp. that looks like a video game.
if that’s the game-play that they are using to sell the game, which feels so mind numbingly dull. i really don’t have any hope.
Looks very janky. There are a lot of moments where the AI just looks completely broken like in 1:12 where he instantly goes from being on the floor to an attack animation. I guess it’s not surprising considering it’s in development hell.
Because it’s alpha and the characters are clearly placeholders. It looks decent otherwise.
If true, then nice way to kill the hype lol
People said the same thing for Redfall. I don’t think a studio would show gameplay unless they think it represents the game. They didn’t give a release date but I also doubt it’s 2-3 years away, studios usually show gameplay when the game is approaching release.
It’s alpha though.
