Why did the comforter change color?

Also why is the word “under” emphasized like that in the final frame? She did say “under”, twice. The word “bed” should be emphasized if anything, maybe.
Also she’s not that surprised, just assumes it’s him, which means he actually is that big? Good for him I guess

After the 3rd panel, Lady must’ve reached to the foot of the bed & pulled up an extra brown blanket. Several details of this comic make no sense so here we are wasting our mental energy trying to make sense of it.
Nah, blue comforter is over the dude 1-3. 4th panel he has the corner of the brown comforter in his hand, indicating he pulled it off himself, since his body is now shown with blue sheet underneath him. Comforter changed color OR he teleported himself from underneath to above blue sheet.
