I watched “In a Violent Nature” and I liked it. It’s a slasher but there’s no music at all and it’s largely from the POV of the killer so there’s also sparse dialogue which means you piece together the story as you go. Without the tension being built by eerie strings or whatever I just had to accept that anything can happen at any time. It was very stressful.

Backrooms: surprisingly good. The many inevitable sequels probably won’t be.

My Name is Earl: aged really well, politically. Even the questionable jokes aren’t nearly as bad as the ones from other shows of the era.

Rick and Morty: I’ve managed to never see it before now. Its alright I guess but idk why people got so obsessed.

The Signal(2007?): tiny budget($50,000 I think) horror movie. Not great, veers into torture porn half way through and then veers right back. $50,000 for a movie that feels like a studio production is really impressive though. I respect it more than I like it.

The Strain: fun horror series about a vampire apocalypse. Haven’t finished yet but I like how its not trying to pretend that Draculas aren’t silly.
