    we seem to have wildly different definitions of “blatant misinformation”.

    imho, shit like calling lithuanian nazi-collaborators “anti-soviet partisans”, while slandering anti-fascism as “collaborationism with the soviet union” qualifies for the description quite well.

        you also have many cases of nazi war crimes being falsly attributed to the soviets, like the katyn massacre, despite

        • the area having been occupied by the nazis at the time of the crime

        • german brass being found at the site

        • the claim originating from a nazi officer and being spread by literally joseph fucking goebbels

        there are numerous further instances of reality being straight up inverted, victim and perpatrator switched, or details quite literally invented out of thin air, whenever it suits an anti-communist or pro-imperialist narrative.

        wikipedia’s methodology is oftentimes no better than the “black book”.
