    It literally only exists as a legal liability defense mechanism.

    It is legalese.

    ‘Value’ as a verb could mean in nearly any concievable context or form.

    It just means ‘is important to us in some unspecified way’… and then the actual specifics are in the ToS you probably don’t read.

      Pretty sure there is no law anyone has to use the wording “we value your privacy”. It’s more likely to be just something they put there to make more people consent to data processing.
