There is no profession that deserves to be degraded more than software “engineering”. Hopefully the computer touchers will stop being dickheads once we’re proletarianized.

I’ve noticed the same thing. The tech industry has been ass lately. There was a brief time where the love of development was strong but that lasted like a month before it turned to startup culture with bootcamp knowledge.
As an aside I asked another tech friend, if they got ~70% of their current pay would they work on farms picking produce all day. They said absolutely not and I said absolutely yes which makes the point that the tech industry is just for the weak.
