The last episode of Sliders had the main character and troupe finally make it back to their original dimension after 5 seasons - Quinn runs up to the gate at his mother’s house exclaiming that he knows this gate and it’s been squeaky forever, only to open it with no squeak. Demoralized, they all walk back into the dimensional gateway and leave. As the gateway closes, Quinn’s mother runs outside - calling to him that she finally got the gate fixed but nobody’s there anymore.
How is Sliders not the top of this list, let alone even on it? I haven’t seen the show since it went off air 25 years ago and that last scene and fade to black still haunts me to this day.
