You’re right, they’re probably more Redditism than actual dogwhistles. Always hard to tell with any sort of internet slang since it all originates on 4Chan
Based doesn’t come from 4chan and I refuse to let the right have it, I like it too much and it’s reclaimed meaning is too wholesome.
“tankie” is like “woke” and these instances all appear willfully behind the curve on it’s adoption by far right infiltrators. what could be more obvious of their alignment with liberalism than their refusal to call us something new? you don’t not care about being a hapless tool of the admiral patricks of the world unless you sympathize/want to assimilate with them.
