Obama recently said that Democrats need to make artificial intelligence one of their “central agendas” and “have a very clear plan” to address concerns around the technology’s economic impact and safety.
Criminal liability would be a great start. Your AI causes major harm your executives do the time. Not going to happen but probably should. That really only needs to be implemented in a couple of countries to be an effective control.

We can’t hold any corpos criminally accountable when any company or product ever does anything harmful. AI is no special case here.
I mean, corporations basically only exist to avoid personal liability
