Democrats are done as a party, their surrender to Trump is now gonna become more noticeable because of Kimmel eating shit

They completely overplayed their hand. It’s the combination of the bourgeoisie trying to prevent another Luigi by throwing shit on the wall, the media class finally understanding that “talk shit, get hit” applies to them as well (this was why even Hasan was taken aback and he’ll never see the hundreds of death threats he gets per day the same again), and Christofash vastly underestimating how offputting they are to even their own fascist ilk never mind normal people.

It says a lot when even civility libs are tut-tutting at Kirk defending gun violence right before being gunned down.

My generally not political family already heard about this and were blown away. The American civility and ethics paint is chipping away rapidly and it’s really starting to be “oh there’s literal nazis out there and the government is helping them be nazis”.

You would think with how obsessive the American bourgeois are with image they’d be managing it a little wiser than this.

I honestly think the right and the liberals caving to them are vastly underestimating the backlash that could arise to enforcing the mourning and lionization of a racist podcaster, and censoring anyone who disagrees with the party line.

It’s possible it will take some time and a few more high profile incidents. This may last for years. But it all feels so brittle- the Nazi regime came after a decade-long low grade civil war, and a bombing of the Parliament building. This…isn’t that.

I speculate it has to do with the size of the population that’s active vs inactive in comparison to weimar Germany to nazi Germany and the current USA. The U.S is still coasting off of the inertia of it’s cold war victory and the golden post-soviet years and it’s citizenry essentially driven into the slumber of class unconsciousness. The steady march of time in conjunction with decaying material conditions in conjunction with the agitating from ideologues at the extremes has slowly chewed away from both ends of the proverbial pie of the unconscious masses. Where Weimar Germany was is not anywhere near where the U.S is today. The U.S isn’t a bitter loser of a war where its own soldiers turned their guns on the State to force an end of their slaughter, nor is its economic situation spiraling out of control and driving the workers out of their jobs and into breadlines. We’re essentially at a strange stage where both sides have to continue decisively agitating and propagating their causes but can’t openly act violently against each other without riling up the unconscious masses against them. Thats why I think the reactionaries are driving so hard to make every murderer that catches the eyes of America into a communist terrorist because it allows them to portray themselves as victims suffering from aggression from the the unconscious masses who’ve more or less been coasting through life completely unaware of the political war that’s happening right now.

The right holds the keys to the most advanced surveillance panopticon and regime of police repression in world history (in terms of scale and technology, perhaps not in intensity), but what they sorely lack is the respect and fear of their enemies. A properly terrorized opposition wouldn’t grave dance their martyrs like this. It is a situation which cannot be allowed to continue, one way or another.

Mocking Donald Trump as well, last night Kimmel said on his show: “We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it.”

So all of this is political payback to the left for “canceling” people on the right. But the difference is, fashoids that were “canceled” and lost jobs were openly advocating for killing black and brown people and the poor.

The director of the FCC went on Benny Johnson’s podcast and said that Jimmy Kimmel’s comments were “some of the sickest conduct possible”.

“There are avenues here for the FCC, so there are some ways in which I need to be a little careful, because I could be called wholly to become a judge on some of these claims that come up.”

“Frankly, when you see stuff like this, I mean, we can do this the easy way, or these companies can find ways to change conduct, to take action, frankly, on Kimmel, or there’s going to be additional work for the FCC ahead.”

I think it has more to do with a media company that owns like 20 ABC local affiliate stations (Nexstar Media) deciding they were going to pre-empt Kimmel’s show. Not that it couldn’t be coordinated or that Nexstar saw the FCC director’s comments and decided to act.

All the people like “oh this will blow over” need to look at things like this. It’s being whipped up into a big thing. The liberals are obediently going along with it, the bourgeois press has their marching orders and this action is clearly intended to send a message.

But it’s just the start. This is part of a broader push to control and censor the internet. They’ve been trying to back-door it with porn ID laws and all kinds of obscure things but this gives them a chance to say the internet is radicalizing the youth into America-hating antifa terrorist extremists and therefore not only do we need ID laws for using online platforms but we need to repeal section 230, we need to outlaw encryption, we need to make all providers 100% legally liable for anything on their platforms even if they don’t know about it.

It’s part of the longer-term trend of creating a great western firewall and censorship machine to control the narrative ahead of the grand conflict with China which will not merely be some naval battle in the SCS but a world war with color revolutions, palace coups, invasions and military action, and much more to do the utmost to isolate China and pull as much of the world as they can into America’s yard to be pillaged and have its wealth extracted. With worsening conditions in the imperial core and discontent among the youth about unemployment and life prospects the time has also come to put the police state into high gear as they’re about to give the proles in the core even less loot while stripping the walls, voiding the basic societal compacts of government responsibility for things like basic infrastructure and so on.

This should have blown over. Normally the talking heads do their five minutes of fake tears about how tragic anyone’s death is (while ignoring all the other death and destruction going on in the country) and then move on to a segment about how a local entrepreneur is opening up an airbnb for rich people’s dogs or something.

Instead, they’ve hyper focused on this, they tried to act like this is the worst thing to have ever happened on 9/11 in America (which is funny as shit), which means people are just confused, and even mad about the media’s focus on this, this doesn’t need to be in the media for so long, and this doesn’t need to result in so much censorship, people aren’t allowed to say a horrible person was a horrible person, even the media has failed to hide how shitty Kirk was from the people, and the more they try to censor this, the more blowback they’re likely to receive. They were trying to corral the public into the only acceptable opinions on this, but they screwed up massively.

I think after Luigi last year, they are trying to control the narrative around this, after it got away from them last time (turns out even grillman doesn’t really mind when awful people who make the world a worse place are dead), so they’ve tried to push their narrative on things nonstop, but they really just made people find the whole thing suspicious.

I do think you’re right that this is part of their goals to completely shut off any and all information that can challenge the western government’s narrative, but they screwed up bigtime, they went too big too fast, and forgot that they are supposed to slowly boil the frog.

Sorry if this is a bit of a rambling response and doesn’t make much sense.

I think the miscalculation of how quickly they pushed it will definitely result in more assassinations. They made it relatively easy to reach 9/11 tragedy and infamy.

also celebrating “1000 people lost their jobs” when theres however many hundred million people in the us&a, obviously this stuff is scary, and i went offline for a few days, but theyre using twitter interactions and calling them real life

Porky is terrified holy shit. They are so scared that they are next, they set up losers like Kirk to funnel people towards being good little obedient fascists, but if the people reject their fash figureheads, it means they’re close to rejecting capitalism entirely. I hope this mass suppression and mass mourning of a terrible person Streisand effects itself into people in the US actually looking more into communism and opposing capital.

I have only actually encountered a single lib who has actually bought their line about how celebrating the death of even a terrible person makes you even worse than them, and even that lib is fully aware that the far right are going to use this as an excuse to escalate violence against others, and increase censorship and surveillance. He’s the libbest lib I know of, I only keep tabs on him because he always give the worst possible takes, but even he is at least partially aware of how fucked up things are (even if he is still unironically doing the “they go low, we go high” thing in 2025).

I think more than anything else theyre terrified of an actual hard fascist insurgency rising up. They’ve been so overly eager to try to pin this on a left ideology that it seems like the only thing that really terrifies them is their base of well-off 20 somethings actually disciplining their politicians into action against their enemies. Right now the major leaders of both parties are really just conservatives, and Trump doesnt really have the brain power or ability to wield the State in an effective fascist position, all he can really do is turn some dials on the racism and see what everyone really lets him get away with. But hes well past the point of formulating a vision and aesthetic for the country when he’s constantly mired in pedophilia scandals and the contradictions of capitalism.

All they have is a literally dying aesthetic and figurehead and no formulation of how to govern into the future. Really what I see happening from here is a hard coup from some action of the deep state/Israel or (unlike the democrats) their base finally revolts against them in an orgiastic spurt of violence that is going to make the troubles in Ireland/England look like a walk in the park.

But it looks like the billionaires want to replace famous libs with Fox News ghouls. Fox News is hated across the global south so doing that will kill American soft power on its own if it happens.

Fox news may be hated because its a parody of itself. But American right wing in general is not realy, it is rather the opposite, global south chuds look upon American right wing politics as something they can emulate to “solve” their own issue. They do not understand they’re natural enemies.

If you make a movie with Americans gunning down Latin American people on some Colombian drug cartel whatever Mission impossible plot garbage they’ll never see it as an insult, but as a method i.e “we can get there if we kill our own”.

Maybe I’d agree with this 20 years ago but as the world gets more desperate I don’t think American soft power will decline if it turns into even more blatant right wing propaganda at all. It is pretty obvious world wide “(neo)liberalism” is a dead ideology just like “old(reagan era)” conservatism.

Already, as companies have been urged by the administration to purge those who attack the deceased Kirk. Paramount-owned Comedy Central on September 11 yanked a Kirk-themed South Park episode from just a few weeks ago off its reruns.

Censoring South Park is going to piss off “moderate” voters more than this.
