I speculate it has to do with the size of the population that’s active vs inactive in comparison to weimar Germany to nazi Germany and the current USA. The U.S is still coasting off of the inertia of it’s cold war victory and the golden post-soviet years and it’s citizenry essentially driven into the slumber of class unconsciousness. I think more than anything else theyre terrified of an actual hard fascist insurgency rising up.
