Most horse people I know (me included) are BROKE because we choose to have horse(s) when we really shouldn’t. Bad financial decisions for sure, but most horse people have a passion for the creatures and don’t let things like finances get in the way.

There have been days where I’ve skipped meals in order to buy my horse her supplements. Not many days, but a couple. My bond with horses is what keeps me going when I’m at my lowest, so I refuse to give them up. My mom and grandma will occasionally sneak me a few bucks to help because they’re almost as invested in my horse as I am.

    Here’s the horse tax:

If you have access to a relative’s land where you can pasture and have a barn, eventually you can lower the cost of boarding and feeding, but the cost in labor may not be worth it.

The savings in feeding comes from planting horse-friendly grains, but only if you do the labor. Horses are gorgeous, intelligent, powerful creatures, and I send best wishes that you maintain it as long as you care to do.

Why is the word “causation” photoshopped on? What word was there originally that would have changed the meaning enough to warrant pasting a different word there?

All these comments are great, but the real mystery is:

Why did someone overlay a different font on top of the original graphic rather than just make a whole new graphic? Like, the work is exactly the same, and the rest of us can view sane font placement.

Original probably said ‘correlation’ when it should be causation. The correlation is established in the headline.

      Apparently someone took that personally.

That was exactly what I did lmfao. It was technically incorrect, so I made it technically correct lol.

Owning and Maintaining a horse is expensive. So is private health insurance. Most Americans can’t afford either.

What was there before “causation”? That single word has notably different formatting

In the civilized world, you don’t need to struggle for health care.

Cheaper yachts really don’t cost that much though. Very wide range of prices and sizes. Pretty much any recreational boat with a cabin.

There are some decaying around here. I would be kinda interested in salvaging one but maritime salvage laws are lame and I don’t want to take one that isn’t actually abandoned that looks like it might be. By the time its very obvious it is abandoned it is a bit too damaged and overgrown with seaweed.

Also I don’t really know much about using something larger than a kayak.

well, here in austria, if i’m correctly informed, there is free healthcare for anyone under 27, or anyone who has a job. everyone else can (has to?) get private insurance, for which they have to pay out of pocket.

This goes for all animals btw. Their company makes us live longer. Very well established research.

It goes for human companionship too. Humans live longer with company.

I would change “health insurance” to “health care”. I have had better care when uninsured and negotiating prices in cash than when I had terrible health insurance I couldn’t afford to use and never got any care.
